Product Overview

Highly detailed hand cast pewter hoist drum and 2 steam engines / pistons based on a design similar to that of the Jennings log skidder steam engine and winch (SS9125) or that of the Buffalo Steam Hoist & Boiler kit (SS9117) - great for that lumber, industrial or mining operation!  Superb details including pistons, engine 'cast iron' framework, a hand brake, and detailing down to the bearing journals for the hoist drum.  Steam Boiler kit not included (SS9144 sold separately).

3 piece kit plus 'cable' for winching!

    used it for a derek used to pick up loads of lumber and put them on trucks for delivery to a saw mill

    Another very fine product. The pieces required little clean-up to remove excess metal. They were easy to assemble and paint. Thread is provided for simulating wire for the hoist. I have placed it with a mine on my layout.

    good product. just what I was looking for. Only improvement would be a hook of some sort for the end of the cable.
