Pseudo history: This former section gang office was abandoned by a defunct shortline and left behind with all it's trash and junk when the tracks were torn up. Passing hobos and stray cats now make it their 'depot', just far enough away from the nearby working railroad to be forgotten by the railroad police.
This HO scale model resin kit depicts a 40 foot steel boxcar converted with an overhanging sloping roof and added windows and doors, jacked up & set against a concrete loading dock all in a small 7" x 5" area (2" x 6" for car footprint only). Using hand poured resin, scale lumber, and loads of hand cast pewter 'junk' detail parts, this unpainted model will make a great hangout for hobos passing through your area. Easy to place conveniently beside the tracks or back in the trees and weeds! Great to detail inside and out! Includes our concrete (resin) loading dock. (Not all items shown are included in this kit. Model custom built and detailed by Don Hall.)
