Hand cast intricately detailed high grade pewter kit completes a Fitchburg floor standing metal/engine lathe model (non-working) with a bed size of 7 feet 4 inches x handles stock up to 24 inch diameter in HO scale. 5 step cone speed adjustment from 3 to 240 rpm. Prototype weight of 6000 lbs. It also comes with an overhead belt drive system to power the machine (power source sold separately). Footprint of the machine is 15' x 2' x 4.5' high (scale).
From the 1800's on into the early 1900's many machine shop power tools were belt driven from one common power source - either steam, or later, electric. Check out our other 9000 series belt driven machines and hand tools as well!
