Product Description
This is a great hotel kit based on the original 1880 building built & then burned down (1893), but rebuilt (1915) now still standing hotel / saloon (former hotel / train / stage station) in Los Alamos, Calif. for service on the narrow gauge Pacific Coast Railway & the local stage route.
This kit is designed to represent the later 1800s wood frame hotel / business building - so common throughout the country from the Civil War up until brick construction took over.
Two stories to board more folks! Can be used in a newer setting as an old building. It's a great Old West type structure as well!
Die-cut wood construction, with many hand poured pewter castings; footprint 7 x 5.75" (not all items shown in photo are included in kit).

1880's union Hotel
SS ltd has been making (& I have been buying) quality building kits since I entered the hobby in the early 1970's. This building is a classic. I am using it as an old landmark hotel in the rural Adirondack Mountains of my mid 1970's era layout. If you know the region you would understand how it is a perfect fit. As always the castings & details are great. The guidance from the plans & the instructions are spot on. Thank you for maintaining your standards after all these years. A highly recommended landmark piece.
